Why nearest is rarely the right filter
Distance matters for one thing only: whether you can collect. If you are having your shirts delivered, and almost everyone does, then a printer in Cheras and a printer in Shah Alam arrive at your door on the same day, because both hand the parcel to the same couriers. What you have actually filtered on when you pick the closest shop is not speed. It is proximity, which is a proxy for nothing.
The things that do change your outcome are the minimum order you are pushed into, whether you see the design on the garment before paying, whether the quoted turnaround is production time or includes delivery, and whether anyone can tell you where your order is once you have paid. Those are worth filtering on. The extra fifteen minutes on a map is not.
The three kinds of printer you will find in the Klang Valley
Search results around KL and Selangor mix three quite different businesses, and the listings rarely say which is which. Knowing the difference saves most of the disappointment in this category.

A number of businesses that appear in local searches are brokers rather than printers. They take your order and send it to whoever has capacity, which adds a day, a margin, and an extra party to chase when something is wrong. It is a fair question to ask anyone: do you print this yourself, and where.
When self collect is actually worth it
Self collect is the one case where being nearby genuinely pays, and it pays more than people expect. A collected order skips the courier leg entirely, so it is ready as soon as printing finishes rather than a day or two later, and there is no delivery charge. Our studio is at 9-1 Jalan Elektron U16/E, Seksyen U16, Denai Alam, 40160 Shah Alam, open Monday to Friday from 10am to 6pm and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
In practice it is worth the drive if you are already in the Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya belt, which includes Denai Alam, Bukit Jelutong, Setia Alam, Kota Kemuning, Alam Impian and the numbered Seksyen from 7 through 13, or if your date is genuinely tight and saving the courier day matters. It is usually not worth it from Cheras or Wangsa Maju in traffic, and we would rather say so than have you sit on the Federal Highway to save a delivery fee.
What it costs, and what changes the price
A printed t-shirt starts at RM30, which is a RM25 blank plus RM5 for printing on one side. Each extra side, such as a back or a sleeve, adds RM5. There is no setup fee, no artwork fee and no per colour charge, so a full colour photograph costs the same to print as a line of text. Live prices for our Basic Cotton Roundneck Tee, including printing on one side. Each extra side is RM5 more per piece, and a plain garment with no printing is RM5 less. Every product follows the same tier ladder from its own base price.
Heavier garments start higher because the blank costs more: oversized tees from RM50, polos from RM30, hoodies and sweaters from RM100, canvas totes from RM15, all before the RM5 print side. Production is around 3 to 5 working days after you confirm your artwork, with delivery on top, and a Rush Order option is available at checkout when your date is close.
Common Klang Valley orders
These are the patterns we see most from KL and Selangor customers, with what makes each work.
- Company uniforms for an SME in PJ or KL. Order your exact headcount rather than a fixed batch, and add one matching shirt months later for a new hire with no new setup charge. Polos from RM30 blank and RM35 printed on one side.
- Family day and team building shirts. Thirty pieces land at RM25.50 each and a hundred at RM22.50, applied automatically. Every piece prints to the same standard, which matters when the group photo goes up.
- School, college and club shirts. Full colour costs the same as one colour, so a detailed crest or class design is not penalised. Kids sizes are stocked from RM25 blank.
- Event and roadshow merchandise around KL. Print a small first run to see how a design sits before committing to the full quantity.
- One-off gifts and single pieces. A single printed tee is RM30 and is printed to the same standard as a hundred piece order. Most local shops will not take this job at all.
Where we are not the right answer
Three honest cases. If you need 500 or more identical shirts in a single colour and unit price is the only thing that matters, a Klang Valley silkscreen house will beat us, and you should use one. If you need embroidery, that is a different craft and not what we do. And if you need shirts in your hands tomorrow morning with no notice, a shop in your own neighbourhood will serve you better than any online studio, including ours. Our Rush Order shortens production, but it cannot beat someone standing at a press ten minutes away.
