Plan backwards from the event date
Most event shirt problems are timing problems. Work backwards from the event day, dating each step:
- Event day: the shirts are already with the organiser, not on a courier van.
- Delivery: allow for courier transit, or self collect from our Shah Alam studio.
- Production: the schedule for your quantity is below, and it starts once artwork is confirmed.
- Artwork: upload the final logo files early; if one is not sharp enough, our team tells you before production, and chasing a better file takes time.
- Sign-off: share a screenshot of the customiser preview with whoever approves company branding, and get the yes in writing before collecting sizes.
- Size deadline: set a firm cut-off and order on that date, even if a few replies are missing.
Crew, participants and VIPs
Most company events need two designs, sometimes three. Participants get the event shirt: the event name, the company logo and often the year, which turns an annual dinner or CSR day into a series people keep. Crew, facilitators and organisers must be found quickly, so their shirt should differ in colour, not only in wording. Guests of honour, management and the emcee often wear a dry fit polo or the 190 gsm Elevate tee, so they look tidy on stage without being mistaken for crew. For a CSR day, get the partner organisation's permission and current logo file first.
Printing roles for crew
Print the role in large block letters across the upper back: CREW, FACILITATOR, MARSHAL, FIRST AID, REGISTRATION or PHOTOGRAPHER. The front shows in the group photo, so keep the event identity there; the back is what a lost participant scans for. Each role can be its own design in the crew colour: add them to the cart one by one, then check out once. To keep one crew design and change only the role word per shirt, use Personalize per piece; our sports event t-shirt page shows how.
Choose the crew colour first
The crew colour has one job: no participant, team or VIP wears it. Pick it first, choose the participant colour around it, and check both against the company logo so the logo does not vanish into the shirt. Colour is fixed at ordering, so if team building groups are only drawn on the day, print one participant colour and split the teams another way. For a large headcount in one colour, ask us to confirm stock before announcing it.
Pick the shirt for the setting
A company trip, outdoor team building or a volunteer clean-up suits microfiber dry fit, which is light and dries quickly. Indoor conferences, launches and annual dinners suit cotton, and the Elevate tee feels a step up when the shirt is part of a dress code. For conference packs, a canvas tote needs no sizes at all, so there is no size list to chase.
Late sign-ups, spares and the venue
Order a few spares in your most common sizes for late sign-ups and swaps. Role shirts make this easy: a spare CREW shirt fits any late volunteer of the right size. With no minimum, a top-up of a few shirts later is a normal order, but it goes through production again, so set the top-up cut-off by the schedule below, not by the event date.
Deliver to your office, not the venue. A courier cannot be booked for a specific day and hour, and hotels and resorts do not always accept parcels for guests. In the Klang Valley, self collect from our Denai Alam studio avoids the courier altogether; wait for the ready-to-collect message before travelling.
Running it again next year
For an annual event, keep the layout and change only the year and theme, so past years' shirts read as a set. Keep your order number, because a later order can reuse the same artwork, and keep this year's size breakdown as the starting estimate for next year's spares. BISHH holds 314 Google reviews at 5.0.
When BISHH is not the right fit
The main limit is a headcount that keeps changing after you order: shirts are printed to the sizes in your order, and a top-up placed close to the event may not make it, so spares are the real safety net. We cannot hand shirts to a registration desk at a set hour; a courier delivers to an address. We print apparel and tote bags only, so lanyards, name tags, wristbands, caps and banners need another supplier.
