Canvas tote bag printing, in short
A printed canvas tote is one of the easiest things to order for a group, because there is no size to collect. You order a quantity instead of a size list, one design suits everyone, and the bag keeps being carried long after the event. BISHH prints the tote with Premium HD Heatpress in our studio in Denai Alam, Shah Alam, so a full colour logo or a photo costs the same to print as plain black text. The table shows the bag as the shop lists it today.

There is no setup fee, no charge per colour and no minimum order. A design on both sides costs more than one side, and the product designer shows the price of each side before you add it.
Where the print goes
The tote has a flat front panel and a flat back panel, and either or both can carry your design. The handles and the side seams sit outside the print area, so keep your artwork on the flat panel with a little empty canvas around it. A design centred on the front reads best when the bag hangs from a shoulder, because a tote is usually seen from a few steps away.
Design tips for a canvas tote
- Go bold. Large shapes and short words read across a room better than fine detail does.
- Pick contrast: dark artwork on a light bag, light artwork on a dark bag. The product designer shows your design on each bag colour before you choose.
- Use as many colours as you like. Full colour and photos cost the same as one colour, so there is no reason to cut colours from a logo.
- Upload the original file at print size: a high resolution PNG with a transparent background for a picture, or your Photoshop (PSD), Illustrator (AI) or PDF design file, up to 200 MB, which Custom Lab opens right on the canvas.
- If your logo sits on a white or coloured box, remove the background first, or the box prints on the bag too.
- For a photo, check its size. A picture needs 150 pixels per inch or more at the size it prints to come out sharp, and the product designer checks every picture at the size you place it.

Allow time for artwork confirmation before production. Standard production time depends on quantity. 1-20 pieces: 3-5 working days; 21+ pieces: 6-10 working days. Looking after a printed tote
Turn the bag inside out and wash it in cold or warm water with a mild detergent. Do not soak or bleach it, skip high heat drying and let it air dry, and never iron directly over the print.
When another bag suits you better
The Premium Canvas Totebag is a simple open canvas bag, so some jobs are better done elsewhere. If you need a particular bag, such as one with a zip or a set size, a bag supplier will have more choice. If you want a stitched logo, that is embroidery, which we do not do. And if you are handing out thousands of bags and the lowest price per bag is all that matters, a silkscreen run on a cheaper bag will beat a heat press print.
